We've solved that problem here at A1 Computer Media with a cunning plan! All of our original backgrounds feature a unique, easy to read desktop design while also managing to retain that fantastic look desired.

How so I hear you ask. Well as they say a picture is worth a 1000 words so here we go.

If a picture is terrific and deemed a worthy wallpaper entrant but makes the screen hard to read, it gets the special A1 wallpaper treatment.

In some cases the image get's the complete screen to occupy if it doesn't make the screen totally illegible and looks just terrific and irresistible! Here's an example of an A1 fullscreen wallpaper ... meet "Mr Janus".

In this case of the above Janus Figure from ancient Éire, the picture still allows the folder titles to be read. Or try it in the following bordered format.

The full picture looks terrific, but if you have a problem reading your

folder titles go for the bordered format. Each wallpaper is offered in

various formats depending on the image's designs and type.

To customize your desktop's background with an A1 Wallpaper.

• # 1 Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
• # 2 Click Appearance and Themes.
• # 3 Under Pick a task, click Change the desktop background.
• # 4 On the Desktop tab, click Browse to search for the folder on your drive which contains the images (for example on the desktop). When you have chosen the image Click OK, then OK again and that's it. Hold the "windows" tab and "D" to send all programs to the taskbar to view your new desktop background/wallpaper.

A1 Wallpaper Sizes

640 x 480 This size is common in many laptops.

800 x 600 This is a standard resolution.

1024 x 768 Most 17" and 19" monitors use this size.

1280 x 1024 Used on large, high-resolution monitors.
